The presidential administration that vowed to be the most transparent since the baptism of Nkuwu Nzinga has once again demonstrated that such vows mean nothing to it.
In addition to the secretive manner in which Secretary of State John Kerry conducted negotiations with the Islamic Republic of Iran over its nuclear program — in itself secretive — there was also the matter of secret “side deals” between Iran and the International Atomic Energy Agency.
And now, additional side deals, this time between President Barack Obama and the leaders of foreign governments, have also come to light.
Republican Sens. Marco Rubio and Mark Kirk have demanded that the Obama administration make public copies of letters from the administration to foreign governments that have already been disclosed to lawmakers.
The letters, penned to officials in China, France, Germany and the U.K., promised that companies that engage in business with Iran will not be penalized, even if Iran violates the terms of the nuclear accord.

All risk, little reward.
ReplyDeleteThis has to be the most corrupt administration in the history of this country.
ReplyDeletePLEASE. Will just ONE obama supporter come on here and tell us tin foil hat right wing nut conservative conspiracy theorists exactly what the USA got in this "deal". Feel free to include any bonus rewards in the secret deals that "we, the people" aren't allowed to know.
ReplyDeleteWe give them 100 billion dollars, enough wiggle room to avoid the detection of a sandstorm in their country, continuing technology support and materials, and they have already begun thumbing their nose at us and celebrating their "victory".
And we get what?
Worldwide derision. Laughter. Even the Iranians can't believe that we actually agreed to the terms!
Keep cheering.
