Salisbury Police Department Seeks Public Input on Proposed Curfew Ordinance
The Salisbury Police Department will conduct several community forums to seek public input on the proposed curfew ordinance. The meetings will be held at the following times and places:
• TONIGHT, Wednesday, August 19th, 6 p.m. at the St. Francis de Sales Parish Center • Thursday, August 20th, 7 p.m. at St. Paul’s AME Zion Church, 410 Delaware Ave. • Wednesday, August 26th, 6 p.m. at the Chipman Cultural Center, Broad St.
More meetings are anticipated to be announced at a later time. For more information, contact Christine Chestnutt at 410 548-3165.
It's very unfortunate and telling when the government has to consider something that parents should already be doing. This is proof that Salisbury problem is a parent problem and their lack of being involved, positive role models in their children's lives. It's also very unfortunate than no one in a position of authority has the honesty to say that this is the problem. I wouldn't ever expect it out of the NAACP because their whole existence is about lies and it's all they know and do. Worthless excuses for human beings. The churches and the pastors need to start being real churches and pastors and not fakes, lying to everyone otherwise God is going to continue to turn His backs on them like He is currently doing. Baltimore City hit the point this morning where it is tied with all of the murders for last year. God is sending a message and no one is getting it. God is very angry with some people. Very very very angry. Stop the lying and get back to God in a real way!
Lmao. You mean SPD will take time out of their shuttle service from Walmart to 411 to enforce this? Or will this be enforced by the sheriff's office and their goons?
They'll claim it's "racist" unless it's extended to every part of the city...and county.
As badly as many of their kids do in school, it's a good idea...they should be in the house studying and doing homework, not prowling the streets looking for trouble.

Jake is a class act. For those of you that are not combat vets (which is most of you) you have no freakin idea what it takes to get thru that and most of you could NEVER stand up to it. This is a god man. A huge leap from the piece of crap we have bow.
Jake is NOT a combat vet, nor does he pretend to be. You have to be in combat to become one. He is highly motivated and trained, and when he's called up he'll be a good leader in the field, but until then, he has no combat experience or the ribbons or DD-214 to show it, so he can't be called a combat vet or even war vet.
There have been two of these meetings so far, one at St. Francis de Sales and the other at St. Paul's Church on Delaware Avenue. In both places, many comments were made about parenting being one of the causes of kids of all ages (from 2 to teen) being out on the streets at all hours of the night, unsupervised by adults. The consensus at both meetings: No child should be so ignored by parents or guardians, but they are, and it has to stop.

Very much a parent problem in Salisbury. That being said, YES a curfew needs to be in place and then it needs to be enforced.
