O’Malley’s Taxes, Regs Drove Jobs Out Of Maryland, Hurt Its Poor

Former Maryland Gov. Martin O’Malley took executives from more than 100 firms on official overseas junkets to stimulate foreign trade, but his economic policies drove businesses and residents from the Old Line State, and especially hurt its poorest regions.

O’Malley’s campaign this year has gone nowhere, but his record as governor will get much deeper scrutiny in coming days if former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s public credibility continues to plummet, with a result that increasing numbers of Democrats look for more attractive alternatives for their party’s 2016 presidential nomination.

“Obviously, his economic policy has severely affected the state of Maryland,” said conservative think tank Maryland Public Policy Institute President Christopher Summers told the Daily Caller News Foundation. “It hasn’t just hung an anti-business sign on Maryland. It’s carved it in stone.”

  4. O'Malley is - flat out - the worse Governor Maryland has ever had.

    And with all of the exodus of Fortune 500 businesses from Maryland - and hundreds of others - he wonders why Baltimore Burns!!!!

    The rioters were right - when Martin O'Malley left his Ireland trip in the middle of the riots - and the Baltimore City Policeman official told Martin O'Malley;

    'Just Stay the >>ck out of Baltimore'as you were part of the problem.

    It truly amazes me that he is trying to be our nations President. With such an abysmal record - he really should be incarcerated at Jessup.

  7. O'Malley another Obama! Both have NO record of accomplishments, and both have records and policies that were devisive and harmful. Both men are embarrassments,inept,incompetent and destructive. The arrogance of these men is off the charts. Both are dangerous men who should be watched and monitored. We cannot allow men like this to EVER again hold any leadership position.

    Right on 8:41!!! I'm 62 and have witnessed the WORST of governors and presidents IN HISTORY. OweMalley and OweBama are the poster children for waste, taxes, and deficit spending.
    Through the course of my employment I traveled the East-coast buying and trading in heavy equipment. I have had occasion to talk with other businessmen and the consensus is the same with the majority, that being, Maryland is the title-holder for the most hostile business environment on the Eastern-seaboard. This courtesy of OweMalley, Mikes Miller and Busch, and finally our favorite ASS, Jim Mathias. The people I mentioned ARE NOT residents of Md., yet reps of business concerns, doing the same job as I trying to overcome the un-necessary roadblocks tax and spend Dumbocrats in power impose.
    Vote Republican even if you are under the threat of DEATH. At least it'll be quick... Bob Aswell...Voter/Resident
