Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal (R) has canceled a contract that provides Planned Parenthood with state Medicaid funds.
Medicaid, the joint federal and state health insurance program for the poor, represents a major source of the group’s government funding, at about 75 percent nationwide.
In a statement, Jindal said that under his state's contract with the pro-abortion rights organization, “either party can choose to cancel the contract at will after providing written notice.”
The state says it has given 30 days notice to Planned Parenthood, which is under fire after a series of undercover videos showing officials from the group discussing fetal tissue.

ReplyDeleteTaking back the country one entity at a time.
ReplyDeleteI used to get my STD tests at Planned Parenthood for cheap. De-funding planned parenthood would make that more expensive and probably out of reach. What do people think the results of de-funding are going to be, fewer abortions (3% of Planned Parenthood's service portfolio)? WRONG. Worse sexual healthcare access for women and young people. Oh did I mention I'm male? I'll probably get a vasectomy there too.
ReplyDeleteIf you ever wanted to watch STD rates instantly go BACK UP, go ahead and de-fund it already.
If you need that many std tests 645, you need to spend more time working and less screwong around. The cost would be acceptable to you witbout having to spend my tax dollars.
ReplyDeleteI have a question? How many men are treated at Planned Parenthood with taxpayers dollars. I'm not gay or bisexual or racist, but when can we get our fair share. You want equality? So be it. Perhaps critters like Catlin Jennings had a sex change done on taxpayers money. This liberal crap must stop now.
ReplyDeleteGreater access to reliable contraception = fewer abortions.
ReplyDeleteReduced access to reliable contraception = more abortions.
More difficulty obtaining a safe, legal abortion = delays in arranging the procedure.
Delays in arranging the procedure = more second trimester "late term" abortions.
What part of this, is so hard to understand? Do some people really want there to be more abortions, and later in pregnancy? Sick people.
Get your STD tests at the County Health Department.
ReplyDeleteNeither of the PP clinics in Louisiana did abortions. All this does is take away options for health care for women in LA.
ReplyDeleteObamacare took care of all this, making it affordable to get your STD tests, see a doctor, get mammograms and other routine tests. Why would we also subsidize PP? It's a duplication of effort. Remember- Obamacare make health care affordable for everyone.
ReplyDeleteGood Job Bobby!!
ReplyDeleteBobby, a compassionate conservative. Not.
ReplyDeleteI wish more states would do the same thing. The Dems have already started with their war on women. I think the Dems have a war on babies.

ReplyDeleteA little at a time.....Alabama has now done the same thing.
Get your condoms at the County Health Department. Just walk in and ask. They're free.
ReplyDeleteUnprotected sex = more unwanted pregnancies.
