Bloomberg: Fox Attacks Made Donald Trump Stronger

A few hours before Thursday’s Fox News debate, a friend of Donald Trump’s confided to me that Trump was nervous. Not about the competition — he could handle them. No, Trump worried about Fox News, and in particular, debate moderator Megyn Kelly. She’d been hammering him all week on her show, and he was certain she was out to get him.

He had canceled a Fox News appearance on Monday night, the friend said, in order to avoid her. (Trump’s spokeswoman wouldn’t confirm or deny this.)

It turns out Trump was right. His toughest opponents Thursday night weren’t the candidates up on stage, but the Fox News moderators, who went right after him — none with more gusto than Kelly.

Kelly, the whip-smart queen of Fox News' blonde stunners, went straight for the jugular. "You've called women you don't like fat pigs, dogs, slobs and disgusting animals," she admonished Trump. "Does that sound to you like the temperament of a man we should elect as president?"

But Trump saw her coming a mile away and cut her off. "Only Rosie O’Donnell," he barked, drawing cheers from the crowd.

  1. Fox News was clearly the loser of the debate with a couple of the moderators' questions. Viewers wanted to hear from the candidates. Not the moderators bringing up prior off-the-wall comments which only distracted and wasted time from discussing the serious topics. Kelly has lost credibility with Fox viewers because of her behavior. Wallace is Wallace. Takes after his father so his questioning is better left confined to his own program. Hopefully, two better moderators will be chosen for future debates.

  2. Trump cannot be bought therefor the big donors are unhappy.
Those donors can "control" their candidate.
Trump is financing his own campaign therefore these donors cannot "control" him.

  3. No matter what they try to do to Trump, I still like him and if more of those candidates were like him, i.e., tell the truth and mean it, and quit being so politically correct, they may just move up in the ratings. As far as Megyn Kelly, she can go jump in a lake. Enough of her already, she cooked her own goose.

  4. But why was everyone too dense to see that WHILE IT WAS HAPPENING? Why is there always a 24 hour delay in perception.Maybe by Monday Trump himself will realize that he was done a huge justice. If he does not apologize to the 3 he could at least thank them.Fox has a plan people, and that plan does not hang Trump out to dry like MSM dolts insinuated immediately after the debate. That plan works with the same concept as sweet and sour food, except in reverse.Good grief people are shallow!

  8. Not to be rude but I loved the Rosie comment. Megan was trying to nail him and I thought he dusted her off fairly easily and told the facts . Just like hogan in md trump could be what we need now. The run of the mill politicians are not working any more. It time for someone with brass balls to take over the ship.
