Shooting In Fruitland

EMS and Police responded to the 3700 block of Union Church Road for a shooting.  This is being reported as a self inflicted.  

There is a report of a homicide in Mardela.  We will update our readers when a press release becomes available.

    I think you are getting two stories mixed up. The Fruitland incident is reported as a suicide and the Mardela incident is the watermelon field.

    The call across the scanner was for an assault victim with a head injury and then it turned to a homicide.

    It is not a migrant worker in Mardela, prayers for all of the families involved in Fruitland and Mardela.

    A Harcum woman tried to get through past the fire police. They told her no and she said she is the mother of the victim. They wouldn't let her go to the scene but they let Channel 47 reporters get through and go to the scene.

    Sympathy for the family of the victims today. Especially the family of the woman who took her own life. So sad.
