Delmar Fire Department has been called to an address on Carr Drive for a High Angle Rescue.
It is being reported that a woman is stuck 35-40 feet in a tree with her cat. Their ladders are not high enough to reach the subject. Salisbury fire department has been requested to assist but their ladder truck can not be used because the subject is to far into the woods and a truck can't get to her.
Send the fire boat?
ReplyDeleteWhen's the last time anyone saw a cat skeleton in a tree????
ReplyDeleteThe cat will come down eventually.
the cat is not the concern, - a woman is stuck 35-40 feet iup the tree with her cat
DeleteExactly 5:21. More cats are injured because people try to help them out of trees. They are just scared and if you leave them alone they will summon up the courage and come down on their own.
ReplyDeleteYou are both wrong. They do not always come down.
ReplyDeleteI believe i heard on the scanner that the cat was dead
ReplyDeleteThey always come down! Gravity never takes a break.
ReplyDelete5:49PM You are correct. I once had a cat who climbed on to my neighbors roof. No matter what I tried, the cat would not come down. He was a young kitten with no mom and so I became mom. It started to storm and I could tell he was terrified. I summoned the courage and I climbed the ladder, got on the roof and got my baby kitten. Ever since that day, the cat stayed in doors and I stayed off ladders and roofs.
ReplyDeleteNo matter how you tried. You idiot! You never gave it a chance to be left alone and figure it out! How can you say they are correct? $.25 is alot cheaper than all this fuss!
DeleteAnother Barrie Tilghman publicity stunt?
ReplyDeleteWhen was the last time you saw a human skeleton in a tree? They always come down. That's what they do.
ReplyDelete6:00 So you now have a cat house.
ReplyDeleteIf a cat climbs a tree and starves to death by not coming down then it's to stupid to worry about or it's a Democrat.
ReplyDeleteCall a tree service. Those guys climb for a living.
ReplyDeleteThis is getting hilarious! Thanks for the skeleton stories! Cheese, will we be finding one cat and two human skeletons up there in a month? LOL!
ReplyDeleteAnybody got a trampoline they can jump into?
ReplyDeletePerhaps it's a transgender cat and thinks it's a squirrel. Probably wearing a baseball cap and can't find it's nuts. I truly enjoy the humor that's on SBYNEWS.
ReplyDeleteFire Boat 1 from Salisbury is responding. S.S. Hoppes is enroute. oops, they can't even get dispatched for a boat in distress very close to there own territory on the Wicomico River. LMFAO. That $million dollar fire boat is already sitting in the water with paid firemen close by and they call 4 other fire departments. Hebron and Fruitland are much farther away and Hebron is first due and they are on land, not water. What a F*n JOKE!! Shows you how poor the fire service is ran in Wicomico County. Shows you that the leadership at the Salisbury Fire Deparatment is p!ss poor pitiful.
ReplyDeleteHow is it the leadership in Salisbury's fault?

ReplyDeletethis gets my vote as BEST REPLY EVER on sbynews
Cats should not be "in the wild" anyway. At that point, they are feral and can be handled as such.
ReplyDeleteI've seen the fireboat as far out as Whitehaven on a practice run a few years ago. If someone knows how to pilot that rig as a captain, why would they continue to earn peanuts as a firefighter and not get a job as a boat captain? I guess because they don't have to do any work to qualify.
