Boring...
ReplyDeletecan we get dualing banjos next
ReplyDeleteThat is not boring, I think it would be very entertaining. At least it's not that boom, boom, boom, noise that some call music.
ReplyDeleteI don't consider anything downtown Salisbury as being a "hot spot" for entertainment or anything. It is Irelton "gay" playground.
ReplyDeleteYou beat me to it, 7:54.
ReplyDeleteI was just gonna say.. Needs More Banjo.
I know more popular acts are very expensive but HQ live really should get at least one or two somewhat popular acts in order to get the attention of the local population.
ReplyDeleteOnce they get some names in there then everyone will be aware of HQ live and will be more inclined to check it out again if their first experience was a good one.
They need to just consider the more popular acts as part of their advertising revenue since it will create a local buzz about the venue.
If you have never been to a dueling pianos show, you are really missing out on a great time. These type of guys are true professionals and really know how to put on a show. The whole audience gets involved.... they literally know every popular song ever released.
ReplyDeleteAn of course, the kinds of acts you book into the venue will determine what kind of clientele you will draw.
ReplyDeleteI've seen the Johnny Cash guy in Berlin years ago. He was excellent. I'm not a big JC fan, but if you close your eyes and just listen, you'd swear it was him on stage.
ReplyDeleteI've heard the dueling banjos but never pianos. I think it sounds great and not boring at all.
ReplyDeleteOnce again, the swine of Salisbury show their little piggy snouts. Don't like Dueling Pianos? Don't show up! Let those people who want to have a good time, have a good time. Seriously, mr. "boring". Do you think anybody really cares what you think? Are you that sad and lonely that you have to let us peons know what the great and powerful you think (and I'm sure your musical tastes are wooonderful)?
ReplyDeleteSeriously- I hate that the people in this town are so determined to be both negative and second guessers. To the "national act" person- do you have any idea what it costs to get a national act? And even if they did- what are the chances it would be something that would please you? You people seriously need to stop being such a bunch of whiny little negative trolls. Here's an idea, why dont you go to the show, try something new for a change, support a local business...who knows? you may hate it. You may love it. But for the love of Pete, please stop trying to pull everything positive thing other people do down. Just. Stop. It.
7:34, I believe you are one of those people who wouldn't be happy with anything. Do you ride around in a handicap scooter by chance?
ReplyDeleteNevertheless, dueling pianos are the biggest rage across America and have been for the past few years.
I have been and let me tell you, it's AWESOME. Unfortunately I can't be there tonight but if I could I can assure you I would.
I strongly recommend any one of you reading this, GO! You'll come back telling everyone just how great a time you had. I think these guys are doing an unbelievable job bringing all sorts of entertainment to this location. Unfortunately there just isn't enough OPEN MINDED people in Salisbury willing to expand their musical horizon.
