Troopers Conduct Child Passenger Seat Safety Checks

The Delaware State Police would like all families to know that Troopers will be available to assist with their Child Safety Seats at Troops throughout the state. We recommend everyone take advantage of this great opportunity to have their Child Safety Seats checked by a Trooper, who is a Certified Technician in Child Passenger Safety.

“Did you know 4 out of 5 car seats are not being properly used?”
Each day as you drive with your little riders they should be safe and securely fastened in the correct child passenger seat. It is critical to ensure your children are protected. The Delaware State Police are here to help safeguard youngsters with the proper installation of child restraint seats.

Appointments are necessary and can be scheduled through the Community Outreach Unit. During the safety check the Safety technicians will demonstrate the installation of the child safety seats and answer any questions or concerns you may have about child restraint.

Please contact Troopers assigned to the Community Outreach Unit for assistance in finding a location nearest you and schedule an appointment to get your car seats checked for free:
