MCKINNEY, Texas - Eric Casebolt, the former McKinney cop seen in a now-viral video pinning a bikini-clad teenage girl to the ground and pulling a gun on unarmed teens at a pool party, was already stressed out when he got that fateful call, his lawyer said Wednesday.
Casebolt, who resigned for the police force after the video captured national attention, "allowed his emotions to get the better of him," attorney Jane Bishkin said at a press conference Wednesday afternoon.
Before receiving the call from dispatch for assistance at the pool party, Casebolt had gotten calls earlier in the day on two separate suicide cases, including one where he had to comfort a grieving widow, Bishkin said.
Bishkin was careful not to say the stress was an excuse for his actions, adding that Casebolt is "apologizing" to all involved.

ReplyDeleteThen WHY bring it up?
Stress = liberal
Delete10:41 because the chief was quick to throw him under the bus and now the lawyer is setting the table for a lawsuit.

you forgot the mayor. and other cops and pd chiefs. and about 100 million other SANE people.
That officer is going to be a rich man.
ReplyDeleteYep...i would caution people to be very careful as they throw officers under the bus. It only takes one attorney to make a good case that changes the way people are held accountable for slander - including the press. Then there is wrongful discharge. Watch the FOP make the prosecutor in Baltimore look like a fool.
ReplyDeleteThe FOP is the biggest organized criminal syndicate in the world! I hope they sacrifice those officers to save the city from rioting. Let them be buried under the jail.
DeleteAnd I pray you cops try that excuse here. I'd love to see your gun rights taken as this is a mental illness. No matter how temporary. But no worries. You'll get full pay thanks to your syndicate.
Butthole
Slander is oral. Libel is written and what the press could be held accountable for but don't let using the correct legal words deter you from the practice of sofa law.
ReplyDeleteStress: the confusion created in ones mind when the mind overrides the body's basic desire to choke the living crap out of some a$$hole who desperately needs it.
ReplyDeleteWith that said this is clearly not a stress related incident this is a clear cut case of THUG COP that just got caught. It's time the good people of this country stand up against the police state and fight for their rights instead of letting them control us like zombies. Most if not all cops think they are superior to the general public and truth is that they are just like any other human with the same problems. He must have thought she had a weapon stuffed in her bikini?
