Escaped killer David Sweat was shot by a state trooper near the Canadian border and caught alive, law enforcement sources told Fox News on Sunday.
Sweat, 35, had been on the run since he and another inmate Richard Matt broke out of the maximum security prison in Dannemora, N.Y., on June 6.
Sweat was shot Sunday afternoon in the town of Constable, just a couple of miles from Canada, Fox News reported. Law enforcement sources said Sweat was shot after a gun battle.

evil doer
It only cost 31 million dollars to find these two.
ReplyDeleteIf we would have sent them to the death penalty express lane , it would have been 26 dollars.
Glad to hear this is finally over. I couldn't imagine living in the area and having to watch your back constantly while they were on the run.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad he has been captured, BUT, if he was unarmed why was he shot?
ReplyDeleteWhat if the policeman was wrong about his identity? I believe in lethal force. I believe in the death penalty. And I would be harder on criminals than most people.
BUT I BELIEVE THE POLICE OFFICER SHOULD NOT HAVE SHOT HIM AND I DON'T THINK THIS STORY IS OVER YET !!!
