ANNAPOLIS, MD (ANN) - Maryland Governor Larry Hogan will reportedly pursue action to stop the state from issuing license tags with images of the Confederate battle flag.
The display of the Confederate flag has become a hot topic since an avowed racist was accused of gunning down nine people in a Charleston, South Carolina church last week.
According to the "Baltimore Sun" Jay Barringer, the state commander of the Sons of Confederate Veterans, said he was disappointed that governor Hogan had decided to take what he calls the "low road" and not defend the First Amendment.
I'm sorry to see that Larry has joined the legions of lemmings following political correctness to the cliff. Larry, you're a two-faced POS and I'm ashamed that I voted for you.
I disagree 1:14. Vanity tags and fraternity tags let us know who the pompass and low self esteem people are on the highway so we can steer clear of them.
3:12 it is a proven fact (call it stereotyping or God forbid profiling) that people with vanity tags are worse drivers as well as less considerate toward others.
Larry Hogan you are the POS I initially thought you were. I voted for David Craig in the Primary, but you slipped through and we had no other choice at this point. I am not a member of the SCV, but this is something you need to think twice about. You ignorant people are to stupid to see that this is the continuing of Americans loosing our personal freedoms due to actions of the left wing nuts.
Memo to Gov. Hogan: Don't be a one term Governor because many of us will work hard and spend our hard earned money to get you thrown out.

First time in my knowledge this whole country has taken sides with a murderer and used it as a reason to not respect the South in the Civil War what's next the Union Jack, the American Flag we all salute to , the right to wear red, white and blue, end Memorial Day, the 4th of July, etc, etc get the point!!

A historic tag denotes the age of a vehicle, not any 'history'. Documented or not. Sounds like you just want to be self-important. You didn't drive the wahambulance in ww11 so get off your high horse. Nobody sacrificed for us to write on a blog or anything else. The elite powers that be decided they wanted a war, so they made one. They supplied materials to all sides fighting this war and got richer, just like they always have. You need to study history a little better yourself and get to the real truth instead of being blinded by false patriotism. That in itself is just one more reason for wars.
