They arrived for a week. Morning, noon and night. A total of 22 men, all seeking the same thing: sex with an underage girl.
One after another, they walked into a sparsely furnished house in Clermont, Fla., expecting to find a 10- or 12- or 14-year-old girl. Instead, they found justice.
Again and again, sheriff’s deputies burst into the living room and arrested the men for soliciting sex with a minor. Operation L & P was named after the two counties, Lake and Polk, collaborating on the undercover sting operation and timed to occur just before kids went on summer vacation. From May 18 to 25, detectives from both departments posed as underage girls or their parents in Internet chat rooms.

While I abhor these types of people individually, the police conspiracy to entrap them all mechanically is an example of organized crime!
ReplyDeleteI hate cops and all they stand for. But all they did was provide the opportunity. These men took the steps to their own future. This is one of the few times I can honestly say the cops did no wrong. This isn't entrapment.
DeleteNobody forces the perverts to show up. They do so willingly with bad intentions. Perhaps you think it would better if they had sex with the ten year old then maybe it gets reported and maybe they get arrested? As Bill Engvall would say "here's your sign".
ReplyDeleteWhy do you hate cops, 1:30?
ReplyDeleteI hate to tell you this....but this is where sex offenders hang...where the children are. So next time you take little Bobby to skate....play ball....etc.... you can bet your bottom dollar little Bobby or his sister is being scanned by a pervert child molester. Yes...right here in river city. Salisbury and surrounds. One of the worst worked at Skateland...that is where they work....where the kids are. AND they fly under the security checks most of the time. Don't think your kids are safe just because it is a childs play place.... just the opposite.
ReplyDeleteyou can't entrap and honest person!
ReplyDeleteIf they're so dangerous why are they back on the street already?
ReplyDelete3:02--
ReplyDeleteAgreed. Don't forget the Civic Center.
There are many dangerous sex offenders out and about around Salisbury. One is always hanging around schools and day care centers. The sheriff department keeps a close watch on him, and his boxer dog.
ReplyDelete4:28 because the laws are stacked against the children. If you don't vote or spend money laws are not written in your favor. The States Attorney may be brilliant but without decent laws to protect children you can understand why the average child sex offender has had at least 200 victims before they are put away (if then)
