HAGERSTOWN, Md. (AP) — Destiny Clark has won the Miss Maryland pageant and will compete for the crown of Miss America in September.
The Herald-Mail of Hagerstown reports that the 23-year-old from Gaithersburg represented Anne Arundel County in the competition Saturday night in Hagerstown. She will receive a $10,000 scholarship, full tuition to Dale Carnegie training, a fox fur coat valued at $4,800 and other gifts.
Miss Charm of the Chesapeake Paige Dutrow was runner-up.

ReplyDeleteAll beauty contests are rigged. Mom and day probably had to pay through the nose to get that crown. She is a beautiful girl...but unless you have competed 3 or 4 or more times (cha-ching) you do not win the title. Check it and see. I HOPE I'm wrong. Either that or Uncle so and so is a main contributor. That is how things were done in the not so distant past....hope things are different today.
