Just because something seems weird to Americans, doesn't mean it's weird everywhere! Here are some cultural norms or other countries that Americans might have a hard time wrapping their heads around.
Squat Toilets
In China and most other Asian countries, they use a squat toilet as opposed to the porcelain throne that is popular in America. Though it may seem bizarre to hover over a hole while doing your business, many foreigners prefer this style because there is less chance of coming in contact with other people's germs.

I have seen split pants, and I was not in China. Interesting concept. I think all public bathrooms should be pay, like years and years ago in OC.
ReplyDeleteIt says less chance of coming in contact with other peoples germs, but your feet still come in contact. You have more of a chance of falling in. There is more of a chance of splatter.
ReplyDeleteWhere Khaki pants and pee in a urinal then look at the splatter spots. Where shorts and feel the splatter on your legs. That is disgusting.
Squatty potty!!!

ReplyDeleteSquatting is for dogs.
ReplyDeleteThey're also in better physical shape than most Americans and can squat to crap. The better part of our society is too fat and lazy and would rather sit on the hopper for an hour or two!
ReplyDeleteDo pay toilets have a time limit?
