ReplyDeleteI agree with 9:45
ReplyDeleteBoth my sons could not wait to get out of the prison that is the public school system. My youngest son is graduating this year and he along with most of his classmates can't wait to get out of there. It's a prison of glass and steel with armed police. Not my idea of an education institution or having any so called "school spirit" or pride they want them to have. If I could have afforded it, I would have put them both in private school. At least I was able to do this when they were of elementary school age.
Parkside made the list!
ReplyDelete1003-Every high school in Maryland is on the list. That's not exactly what I'd call an accomplishment.
ReplyDeleteDelmar #2 in State! Impressive.
ReplyDeleteGlad to see all that money spent is getting us ranked high. Hopefully it is not a paid thing like the metropolitan mag is
ReplyDeleteBeing that our taxes on the shore are some of the highest in MD I would expect more of our schools to be on the list. This just goes to show you we need a local school board with local accountability and that our BOE spending needs to be put in check.
ReplyDelete10:38 Your taxes on the shore are NOT some of the highest in MD. In fact, they are the LOWEST in MD. Your basic misunderstanding of facts means your opinion is worthless.
ReplyDelete1052-If you're a property owner within the Salisbury city limits, you are in fact, one of the highest tax payers.
ReplyDeleteOur kids come out of High school smarter than anyone who gets a degree from UMES!
ReplyDelete10:52 Doesn't know what they are talking about. Must be a school teacher or an employee of the BOE! Our taxes are the highest in the state. Our piggyback taxes are up there with Montgomery County where most of the upper income residents live. When you compare medium income to the local, state, and property taxes, we are definitely the highest in the state!
ReplyDeleteI see all 3 Worcester high schools are ranked but only 1 Wicomico high school.
ReplyDeleteI seriously doubt the integrity of the list. Just like polls and statistics, they show just what those touting them want to show.
ReplyDelete11:44 i just trying to figure out what a medium income is. I looked on several statistics sites and in an old stat textbook but couldn't find it.
