Netanyahu to Meet With Ethiopian Community Leaders Amid Unrest

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced Sunday that he had set up meetings with leaders in the Ethiopian community for Monday after an Ethiopian soldier was filmed being beaten by police in an apparent unprovoked attack last week.

The meeting was scheduled to be attended by representatives of the Public Security Ministry, which is in charge of the country's police, as well as the chief of police, Insp.-Gen. Yohanan Danino, and representatives from the Welfare, Immigrant Absorption, and Interior Ministries.

Netanyahu was also scheduled to meet Thursday with the soldier who was beaten in the incident, Damese Pakaday.
