Baltimore Mayor on Looted Vendors Staying in Baltimore: It's 'Smart Investment'

(CNSNews) - Baltimore Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake took a tour of the looted Mondawmin Mall on Sunday, calling it a "great day" and thanking "all of the vendors who are here," including a company called General Growth.

"You know, they want to stay here. They want to continue their investment. And I think this was a smart -- it's certainly a smart investment because this is a growing community."

"I've been coming here since I was a child, taking my Christmas pictures with Santa, I think the Easter bunny," the mayor explained. "You can come up, General Growth, if you want to come up. Come on," she encouraged the reprentative of the mall's management company. "You sure?" she asked, when the representative (whose name she did not use) declined her offer to stand with her.

"And this is just a great day for this community to have the mall reopened. Just a wonderful day," the mayor continued.

  2. Is she on the same page or even Earth that the rest of us is on! Narcissistic behavior indeed. The same woman that allowed the destruction, fires, and looting in Baltimore...This is the same woman trying to give a "inspirational speech"!!?!! Such corruption and destruction in Politics. She needs to be charged for provoking looting and destruction. She took cash to allow this to happen (looting) Now, she's trying to play the "Rescuer". Wow, just wow!!!!!!!!

  3. Lying democrat is more like it.
Those who claim to not have participated in the destruction and are now "suffering" because they "understand the angry and the frustration" of the "oppressed" should not be given a pass.
How many of them voted for that mayor. Almost all of them who are now crying foul.
Experience is the best teacher and if these fools now don't see the incompetency of the democrat party then they are lost causes and deserve to be wallowing in cess pools of crime and poverty.

Appear to be on their side, they will vote for her for this next position, she wants so terribly. Politics! Can't dance with the Devil and think you will prosper! You will soon have to be called out!!

  8. They destroy public places and well as private property, deterring good people and families from going there, so places close for good.

Then when the go on a rampage of tearing stuff up and looting and random hate crimes, they use the excuse that they're bored or "we gots nothin to do"...
