BALTIMORE —New questions have arisen about the actions of Baltimore City police while handling a suspect who is now in critical condition.
Some of the incident was captured on cellphone video, but the key question is what happened inside the police transport vehicle where no camera was rolling?
Video from a resident's cellphone shows the man, identified as Freddie Gray, after he had been arrested Monday by police in west Baltimore. Gray was seen talking and able to move his legs and lift his head as officers put him in a police transport vehicle and took him out of view.
Video at a different location shows Gray had been taken out of the van, police said, for additional restraint. Gray is seen on video on the pavement on his knees.
