DPS Trooper Karate Kicks Suspect off Motorcycle

HOUSTON CHRONICLE) Dashcam footage shows an unusual ending to a high-speed chase, as a state trooper darts into the frame and throws a two-footed jump kick that knocks a surrendering suspect from his motorcycle.

Minutes before, another trooper pulled alongside the fleeing motorist and, through the window of his moving cruiser, fired four shots, one of which hit the suspect in the leg.

That all followed an almost 40 mile chase at speeds up to 130 mph that ended in the outskirts of Houston, the Austin American-Statesman reports, and resulted in the suspect's arrest for evading law enforcement, driving with an invalid license and possessing a prescription painkiller.

  1. I think if I had a trooper shooting at me 4 times for speeding or having a tag light out, I would rather try the 130 mph chase rather than stop and ask if he wanted to try 4 more shots while I was standing still.

    But that's just me.

This "trooper" needs to be locked up for several years.

    1. I suppose it would have been fine with you if the whack job on the bike slammed into a family car killing the occupants though.

  2. lol, the cop who jumped kicked the biker got two days off without pay and the cop who fired four shots out of a moving vehicle like some Hollywood Rambo got a "atta boy". Not sure which is more stupid.

  4. really 9;59? so you think it's ok for a kop to roll down his window and fire his revolver out the window at a motorcycle traveling around 130 mph? You must be a kop thinking thats acceptable on a public highway. You worry about the cycle hitting someone vs bullets flying all around! real smart!

I was thinking the same thing! Bike vs car....the car always wins. Cop car vs another car and usually the cop car wins because of their speed. There was no need to kick him off the bike like that. He has his hands up and was getting off the bike. They were chasing this guy for running a red light....he put the public in danger when he did that and when we was driving so far......yet the police were going just as fast and were firing bullets. Who put the public in worse danger the cops or the idiot?

  7. and who caused it all?if the idiot on the bike stopped to start with after he saw the cops lights it all could have been avoided.but I guess he thought he was above the law that most of us respect

  9. Excessive force. We won't even mention reckless endangerment. Those bullets could have hit anyone. The cop could have lost control of their car as well. All for what? Because someone ran a stop sign.
