Christie Proposes Ending Social Security for Wealthiest Americans

NJ Gov. Chris Christie, a Republican trying to gain traction in a crowded 2016 presidential field, on Tuesday proposed a major overhaul of the popular Social Security program that would cut benefits for wealthy people. At a New Hampshire appearance later on Tuesday, Christie plans to propose Social Security "means-testing" that would reduce the size of benefits for people earning more than $80,000 annually and phase them out entirely for those earning $200,000 or more.

  1. No problem....so long as "we" don't have to pay in either!!

  2. Yeah, let's ignore the ABUSE and take it away for people putting into it. The largest Ponzi scheme ever, would get even worse. I wouldn't pay into it, if I'm not going to receive the benefits later.

  3. how about this, why don't you eliminate social security for everyone since it has become a huge failure. tell the politicians that it is our money and we want it back. Now

  4. Talked to a liberal the other day and put forth a message. She said she was fighting a traffic fine of $45 and I told her she had the means to pay so she should. It would save those who couldn't.

Her response was it was all a matter of principle and she wasn't going fast.

They will not give up their social security because in their eyes they earned it. And maybe they did but if they are going to practice what they preach they could start with something like that.

  6. Between some of his gun control policies, supporting illegal aliens and this; we the people don't want him as president...it wouldn't be too different than the HildaBeast getting elected!
