Ben Carson on America: 'As We Abandon God, You Can See That We're Spiraling Downward'

America's Judeo-Christian values are what made this country exceptional in such a short period of time, said Dr. Ben Carson, who added that the biggest problem today, however, is that America has "abandoned God," which is causing the United States to rapidly decline.

After speaking at the Stillwater Christian School in Kalipsell, Mont., last March, the host asked Dr. Carson, "Obviously, we have a lot of issues in the country today, from the economy, immigration, education, health care you touched on, foreign policy. So, the question is what do you think is the biggest issue we face today?"

Dr. Carson, a neurosurgeon and best selling author, said, "I think the biggest issue is that we have abandoned God. We need to bring spirituality back to this country."

"It was our Judeo-Christian values that allowed this to be an exceptional country," said Dr. Carson. "It allowed us to move forward so incredibly quickly. And as we abandon God, you can see we’re spiraling downward just as quickly.”

  1. I myself like what he has to say.If you believe then you will know that he is right. Hope he runs for president. This country needs a man like him. To get this country back to what it used to be. We are falling from a wonderful country to one of lost values.

  2. I will say it again , I would vote for him in the presidential election. The only problem is , Obama has ruined it for all blacks who would run for president.
People just don't trust the blacks any more.
He has put America in the toilet and is expecting Hillary to flush it for him.

  3. I agree with this wholeheartedly. There is no substitute for what made this country the most powerful in the world. We must restore Christian beliefs or lose America altogether.

  5. 7:13 Belief in a specific deity or religious franchise doesn't make or break a country. It takes more than just values and integrity, which do not require religion. A unified sense of nationalism and commonality with ones' fellow citizens, and the ability, willingness and ability to defend what we stand for, who we are, and what we have, is essential.

I don't care if you're Catholic, Christian, Jewish, Buddhist, a Pastafarian or an atheist, if you'll defend me, I'll defend you for us all.

Anen. Ben Carson is 100% correct. We can see the Moral Decay of the society today and it starts at the top. And its getting worse and We the People Need To Take a Stand for what is Right. Ted Cruz, Ben Carson, Rand Paul , Scott Walker - any combination of these men, president or VP would be a Big Step and Big Upgrade over Rats like Clintons & Obamas. AMEN!

  7. I agree with 7:44. You don't have to be Christian to be a good person. This country has plenty of people with good values and integrity who are not religious. I think religion can be judgmental and non-inclusive of others who are not like them.

  8. BC is full of crap and simply pumping yall with partisan red meat. Last I checked, most of us who are down with JC are still in church and living our lives accordingly. And those who aren't are free to do their thing. God hasn't gone anywhere from the hearts and minds of us. But clowns like BC will try to use God to gain political clout with you.
