Students at the University of California, Irvine have voted to make their school a more “culturally inclusive” place by banning the American flag.
The Associated Students of University of California (ASUCI) passed a resolution March 3 that would remove the Stars & Stripes along with every other flag from the lobby of a complex housing the offices of the student government.
“Designing a culturally inclusive space aims to remove barriers that create undue effort and separation by planning and designing spaces that enable everyone to participate equally and confidentially,” read the resolution authored by Matthew Guevara.

ReplyDeleteThey should get ZERO Federal, State or Local funds then. F-ing hippies.
ReplyDelete“Only six people voted for this,” he said. “We have 22,000 undergrads here. Six people made this decision. The UC Irvine has made huge contributions to bettering this country. This is an elected body that made a decision for the whole and will suffer the consequences of making that decision.”
ReplyDeleteI'm guessing that the rest of the student body will have something more to say about this now that it's made public. And then the thousands of graduates who pump donations into the school's coffers every year might also like to weigh in with their wallets.
Stupid little airheads....
ReplyDeleteThis seems to be extremely exclusive as creating an inclusive environment means celebrating diversity, not exterminating it.
ReplyDeleteI agree. Inclusive would include all flags, not exclude all flags.
DeleteThese are the things the government should be dealing with! If you are in the USA our flag is red white and blue. If it offends you find another country. If you don't like our laws. Find another country where you do like them. Do NOT come here expecting us to change things for you. Accept the USA for what it is or leave. We keep changing to be like other countries and we are slowing becoming those 3rd world countries. There was a reason why we were once a great country!
ReplyDeleteNo more school then . shut em down. Refuse their academic credentials when graduation happens. No american flag.....not an american school.
ReplyDeleteMake them sign a Pledge of Allegiance before they can get the next installment of their "student" loans.
ReplyDeleteThe school should start with first grade history and go through the next twelve years of history to see if anyone of them understand what when and how we made the United States of America and all the men and fought for it.That is why we have our flag. If you can't fly it with pride and respect for the United States of America. Leave this country. I did not ask you to come. You asked so live our way or leave . DON'T TRD ON ME.
ReplyDeleteTurn off lights and water. Close it down. Where is the big news people when this is big news to all that have defended are flag. That's right don't fly it move out.
