It is hard for a local restaurant to survive with so many well known chain restaurants in town. Unfortunately that is what is happening. There are just too many restaurants in the Salisbury area now. Good luck to the owners as they move on to their next chapter!
you know what pisses me off the most about this?! these lame a$$ people around here will wait in line for an hour to eat the SWILL they serve up at the olive garden, red lobster, chili's and the such. but they won't bother to patronize GOOD privately owned restaurants. i rarely eat out anymore. and when i do it's usually out of town at a "REAL" restaurant . wake up people before it's gone forever.
Always had great food and good service each time I have gone there with my friends and family at both the Pittsville and Laurel locations. They will be missed! I firmly believe in visiting only locally owned Restaurants and businesses where ever possible. I believe local money stays in the local community. I try to do this as well when I travel out of the area. Corporations might offer a job, but that's it. I believe money spent in our local communities by local business owners, stay in the community.
Loved the upstairs with the old brick and the wood floors. It was close and really not much more expensive for locals who had to travel for food and beverage. Also the lil red head waitress with the infectous smile was hot!!!
I loved this place. It was not expensive at all. And was not out of the way... within walking distance for me. It was great seeing a decent place on the east side of the county open up. Good food, a nice bar... without having to drive to Ocean City. Hopefully whomever buys it re-opens it as a bar / restaurant also.
It's been hard on all of us to not have the resources to go out to eat in the last 8 years of Democratic Ruin. I have visited your restaurant despite the crash, and enjoyed your wonderful hospitality.
I will miss it, and wish yo all well. God bless you.
I liked Station 7, but that size restaurant just isn't going to make it long term in a middle-of-nowhere tiny town like Pittsville. Why would anyone from Salisbury or Ocean City drive 20 miles for food they can get next door?
Would love to see this place do sports related events. Ravens football, Orioles baseball and NASCAR. As long as the owner of Oasis doesn't buy it we will be in good shape. oasis is disgusting.
One more business dies. One more nail in the coffin of the local economy
ReplyDeleteHow much of this business' closure is a result of the MD (Wicomico) business climate and how much is a result of lack of patronage?!

ReplyDeletePrices were too high, can't compete with the national chains offering 2 complete meals for just $20.00.

The food was expensive, and the place was out of the way, both things doomed it.
ReplyDeleteRestaurant chains offer consistency and a clean environment. Many local restaurants raise prices too high and it scares away customers.
ReplyDeleteWhat a shame. I loved this place!

ReplyDeleteAw, this stinks. We will have to try to go before they close. I'm sad to hear this!
Trial by association once AGAIN! Jim, go have another beer. You're good at that.
ReplyDelete@6:58 yes.. I am pretty good at drinking beer! Pretty sure your not good for anything!

ReplyDeleteI heard the old Nanticoke seafood plant might become a restaurant.
