Snow Plows just hit the road in Wicomico Count to start spreading salt. I'm not so sure the snow is thick enough yet to plow but they are spreading salt. When I got up at 5:00 AM I was amazed at how little snow we had received so far.
Sure, there's snow on the ground but nothing like what we had expected.
The storm is just really getting started. Started falling in Salisbury around 3am.
ReplyDeletePeople just stay home!
ReplyDeleteLaurel has 3 inches so far. Very heavy unlike the last storm.
ReplyDeleteI don't recall you, Joe, saying what you expected. Please tell me what to expect so that I can get on with my day.
ReplyDelete6:31, Hey, I am by no means an expert when it comes to predicting snowfall.
ReplyDeleteHowever, at almost 53 years old I can tell you from experience, STAY OFF THE ROADS.
The heaviest part of this storm will hit us before, during and soon after rush hour. Let these people clear the roads as best as they can.
Remember, they need 3 inches of snow before they will start plowing. Right now they can only lay down salt, which will help quite a but this time because it's not as cold outside as the last storm.
You got that right!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI am totally out of Q-tips! Going out to the store right now!
ReplyDeletePeople can't stay off the roads when they have to work!
ReplyDelete6:48, I/We completely understand that. However, if there are business owners that can make it possible to delay anyone from being at work at the "REGULAR" time and can possibly open an hour late, that would be great. In fact, that should be a policy in the United States when rush hour road conditions are this bad.
ReplyDeleteJoe sounds like a democrat: lets make a policy for people that cannot drive in snow - they don't need to go to work until all clear given. Give me a break (brake)!
ReplyDeleteMore Government regulations is what we need! Really someone telling me when I can run my business!Joe I thought you were better than that!
ReplyDeleteSome employers expect you there no matter what!
ReplyDeleteJoe, Why are schools closed in Seaford. I don't understand.

ReplyDeleteWell... as of 7:30am our area (behind Nutters Golf Course) I just measured and we have 3-1/4" of snow.
I'm no weather forecaster but looking at the radar and if it continues at this rate... we will have 7+ inches.
So much for WBOC lowering their snowfall amounts... watch WRDE channel instead. This local channel 9 - Comcast, out of Rehoboth Beach, Delaware is a welcome to the Delmarva Peninsula !!!!
WRDE has much better local news from all areas and a better caliber of employees !!!!
7:40-And I'll bet you drive 50 miles just to go to Cracker Barrel.
ReplyDeleteWhat does that comment to 7:40 mean?
ReplyDeleteI sure hope the golf card have snow tires or chains 7:40. Tee off at 11 am.
