What Idiot Parents would allow their teenage kids to ice skate on a pond with water on the surface and 50 degrees outside?

    People ski in 70 degree weather in Utah. It all depends on the thickness of the ice. Maybe the democrats will pass a law...

    Yes, I am well aware of the concept of a lake and and a ski trail. If the ice is thick enough there is no problem. If the snow is too thin and a ski hits the ground or a rock, it can be devastating as well.

    6:45 Is at really necessary?
    6:11 no... it means snow MELTING on top of the ice.
    5:45 has it right!
    We have wrongly become an interventionalist society.
    Preemptive laws, Socialists invading peoples families, privacy violations for the "greater good".
    Time to get back to natural law and STOP all the liberal busybody government invasion of our lives.
    Someone (a parent, how novel an idea) needs to teach the kids the formula for treading on ice.

    7:05 Your grades dont need to be good enough to graduate In wic. county. They pass everybody, grades or not, to keep the graduation rate up. I see this every year. The kids dont seem to care about much. That's why their out on the ice. Then when something bad happens,their surprised and want a lot of attention.

    8:13 speak for yourself. I went on to an advanced degree and six figure salary. Retired in my forties. I just post on here to get a laugh...btw, it is 75 and sunny in south Florida, no state tax and ccw permitted.

    I didn't read every comment so I don't know if anyone mentioned the ice skating rink that used to be in Salisbury.Ahead of it's time by decades, it didn't last long.The handful of us who religiously went there were not enough to keep it going,darnett.
