Wicomico Roads Division just headed out to salt roads. Plow crews are waiting for two inches to fall and they'll start plowing. The Circus event is going on tonight so be very careful on the roads. The Roads Division is going to pay special attention to clearing the roads in that area to assure a safer journey.
Pay special attention? To the idiots who bring their kids out? Just got to make that money! Hey people....no special attention is happening on the roads on the way! Don't be stupid!
Suggest people call Civic Center Box Office as it is ridiculous that the County has no say over cancellation of the circus--it's totally up to Feld/Ringling....and you know they want to keep all the $$$ from the tickets which were already sold for tonight. Tell Civic Center Box Office to tell Feld/Ringling to cancel. Somebody's gonna sue the County if they slip and fall getting to the circus!!!
I think we all need to relax. It's not as if EVERYONE is headed to the Circus. The County is doing everything they can to make it as safe as humanly possible, SO BE CAREFUL. No one is putting a gun to anyone's head to force them to go. Take your time, (if you go) and enjoy the Show. Just because it's snowing doesn't mean the world comes to an end. Just ask anyone living in Up State New York. This is a baby storm.
I rode by and saw the parks and recs guys out there working like busy bees trying to keep up with the snow. They are doing a great job to make it safe for people to get out and in the civic center. Also a big thanks to the roads crew for keeping the arteries into the civic center clear too.

ReplyDeleteJust more pandering to businesses while ignoring average citizens. Why aren't residential roads being plowed? Is that circus going to pay local taxes?
ReplyDelete6:35, The county is not ignoring average citizens..... only you. Lighten-up, it will get done in a timely fashion.
