COLORADO SPRINGS - News5 introduced you to Shelby Hudgens over the weekend. He's a homeless man in Colorado Springs who we caught in an act of kindness. He was helping push cars that were stuck in the snow on Fillmore Hill Saturday afternoon. There's been an outpouring of thanks from our News5 viewers, and Shelby's luck is turning around.
"I've been out here pushing cars for about the past three hours," he told News5 over the weekend.
When we went back to Fillmore Street on Sunday to talk to Shelby, he told us he has enough to get by. "It could be worse," he said. He has his dog, an old blue muscle car and a very big heart.

A nice story for a change.
ReplyDeleteReminds me of Clint. Except Clint didn't do anything for anyone and was used by M.M. to gain local attention to his mobile eateries and garage. That man was used. IDC if he was an old friend. Why wait twenty years to help your buddy? Grandstanding all it was.
ReplyDeleteI'm sure he was working for "tips"; and there's nothing wrong with that. Much better than panhandling. Performing a service, working for donations.
ReplyDeleteHe had a muscle car and was homeless?
ReplyDelete3:03, he is homeless not carless. Would you call a car home? map
ReplyDeleteHomeless could just mean the wife threw him out.
