  1. Hire Wm. Lee Clarke. We would only need one lawyer. Lee is well educated, trustworthy.

  2. He cost the county dearly when he was hired away from the city.....

    ReplyDelete
  3. Been waiting for years for this announcement.

    ReplyDelete
  4. Andy Mitchell?
    Ha ha.

    ReplyDelete
  5. That's Robert Eaton and would be great pick.

    ReplyDelete
  6. I second for Bob Eaton. He would be an excellent choice.

    ReplyDelete
  7. Heard it was retirement. That is different than resignation.

We don't need 3 attorneys. Pollitt directed that NOTHING was to happen without legal reviewing it or being involved. This weakened the staff to believe they can't make a decision on their own. Ridiculous.

Worcester County has one attorney. We need to go back to the contractual deal. This is another example of Pollitt allowing a "department" to grow with the attached expense not being controlled. It went from one attorney to 3 and 2 assistants. You all have Owepollitt to blame. An increase of about 1/2 million dollars from original plan.

These are the kinds of things the Dems, Pollitt holdovers and RINO Council members Cannon, Hall and Matt Holloway want to continue and why they are fighting Culver.

CULVER IS STANDING UP FOR THE TAXPAYER....DON'T ALLOW THE RINO COUNCIL TO SCREW YOU AGAIN.

  8. Bob Eaton is an ethical man of character who understands how governments work. If he is willing, Bob Culver should move to hire him contractually.

Any Council member who disagrees has a hidden agenda that needs to be exposed - just like with the Terrell vote.

  9. Hire Bob Eaton and clean up the County. Just the man we need.

    ReplyDelete
  10. Bob Eaton is a great pick.

    ReplyDelete
  11. What is the procedure for filling the vacancy the County Attorney?

    ReplyDelete
  12. Cockey, Brennen and Maloney staff?

    ReplyDelete
  13. If you've ever had to work with the Law dept, you'd know they need three attorneys..

Or, the three they have (had) are incompetent

    ReplyDelete
  14. Sorry 438 - the last thing this county needs is any Barrie Tilghman ilk. That fact alone makes Bob Eaton the perfect choice.

    ReplyDelete
  15. 4:47. You've got it. It is incompetence. Mr. Baker became too political years ago. And then he got the amazing sweet deal that the downtown lawyers are still talking about. Maureen came in green and has been trained with the political game rules. And I'm not familiar with the newest one but she just might be salvagable that she hasn't been around long. Seriously, Mr. Baker, we taxpayers really hope you enjoy our gift of your retirement.

    ReplyDelete
  16. That leaves 2 attorneys at the County, so why replace him. Worcester County has only one attorney.

    ReplyDelete
  17. Hey! Let's get Ron Pagano!!!

    LOL!

    ReplyDelete
  18. 4:47-

    Wrong!

Two attorneys is 1 to many - look at Worcester County.

    ReplyDelete
  19. Will they promote the deputy attorney

    ReplyDelete
  20. Andy Mitchell-big NO
    Cockey, Brennan, Maloney-big NO

    ReplyDelete
  21. Hey people, why is no asking what has Wicomico County been doing under Pollitt and Strausburg that they needed 3 attorneys? Inquiring minds want to know. Before Pollitt, Baker was contractual...and poof, now there is a "Department of Law" with 3 attorneys and 2 staff. FIVE people! Something is wrong somewhere.

    ReplyDelete
  22. As a county employee who has had to deal with them, it takes forever to get an answer. That office is like a black hole. If they aren't incompetent, then they are just lame. New blood definitely needed and Maureen needs to go too.

    ReplyDelete
  23. Now retire (resign) Morris, konrad and Strasburg. Detention center Tyler and kalorumakis never there! Civic center wisk and oland need to go.

    ReplyDelete
  24. I vote for a lady ANN SHAW.
No nonsense straight forward and youo know where you stand

    ReplyDelete
  25. Ken Hooper is well versed in governmental law.

    ReplyDelete
  26. I knew Eaton was the designee when he was named to the transition team, as was Heatwole the next Public Works Director. They all need to be confirmed like Mr. Terrell!

    ReplyDelete
  27. no more than one attorney is needed...too many are feeding off the public service teats now

    ReplyDelete
  28. HELL NO DEPUTY ATTORNEY. That is not the answer. Contractual services while pulling those funds for all those special legal services will save on unnoticeable expenses incurred by the Legal office. Please hire from the outside. New blood. New perspective.

    ReplyDelete
  29. County Council knows we need change. It is broken and needs fixed.

    ReplyDelete
  30. I really like the Ann Shaw consideration..

    ReplyDelete
  31. 8:28. You are in my mind set. Yes, no one in place needs to stay. Baker needed to go 5 years ago, actually before Ricky and Cannon approved his buy in to retirement. The people downtown are still shaking their heads. And Cannon would vote against Terrell, really? That was the most severe political mistake for Cannon. CANNON IS A FAKE AND NEED TO BE REPLACED. Let's make sure this is his last political seat. We the people don't need his type.

    ReplyDelete
  32. Ann Shaw PLEASE!! Smart, quick, knowledgeable, AND... not part of the GOBS

    ReplyDelete
  33. The civic center needs to hire back stanley boone. He was there #1 lock down man and also caught other employees stealing county property.Never these kind of problems when he was there.

    ReplyDelete
  34. 8:25 so what if he ends up hiring from that team. They are a very smart group.

    ReplyDelete
  35. Contract this out. Area's of special interest. Paul Wilbur is making more working for the city , calling people to buy there property then he ever did as the city attorney. How stupid can the City be. There are about 100 more them competent Real Estate people in this area who can do that.
Eaton if he will take the pay cut.
The county does not need 3 full time. The ladies have an atitude

    ReplyDelete
  36. This whole 5 employee group needs a shakedown! Why do we need 5 here? We need a chief and an Indian, period.

    ReplyDelete
  37. Actually Andy Mitchell is a very good attorney. Don't hold it against him because he know Rick P.
Richard Duvall, Now that is a real attorney, in the Eaton Class.
    Hire them contract, no benefits.

    ReplyDelete
  38. I'm over Cannon too. He is another pretender. We don't need the likes of him.

    ReplyDelete
  39. Ho about we drop 5, and elect one, ans let the elected choose an assistant?

    ReplyDelete
  40. I like Richard D. But he hates the conservatives on council

    ReplyDelete
  41. Rachel Blevins Harris from Pocomoke is the third County attorney that needs to go. She failed as a private practice criminal defense attorney that now "practices real estate" for the County. The County Attorneys should not represent the Planning Commission or the Board of Appeals as it is a conflict of interest. They can not support their coworkers/staff's decisions and then deny citizens access to the appeal process. Worcester Counties Boards have independent non county employees as their attorneys.

    ReplyDelete
  42. I say who ever we hire we should give them a full retirement before they even collect the first pay check. That's right buy back their retirement, it's only fair. You know just like Ed Baker got.

    ReplyDelete
  43. I say do not hire any more attorneys. Keep the cute one in the office and get rid of the other one. How they went from one part time attorney to 3 full time attorney's is beyond me. Joe, Holloway, Matt Holloway, Bob Culver, John Hall, and John Cannon were all involved in this atrocity at some point or another and they could have said NO!!

    ReplyDelete
  44. How come it takes more attorneys to change a light bulb in Wicomico County?

    ReplyDelete
  45. Wanna bet Seth Mitchell applies?

    ReplyDelete
  46. Why isn't M. J. Caldwell on that list?

    ReplyDelete
  47. Get rid of five, put MJ in there, and let him run the show on contract.

    ReplyDelete
  48. Andy Mitchell is too much of a bully.
Eaton would have my vote of those listed!

    ReplyDelete
  49. Bob Culver if you are reading this, it is heavily in favor of Bob Eaton - me too!

    ReplyDelete
  50. I would like to hear Strasberg explain why there are 3 attorneys. The last one should never have been hired - not skilled enough. She is basically doing paralegal work. Strasberg ran the county for absentee executive Pollitt. Explain it to us Wayne - why did you need 3 attorneys.

    ReplyDelete
  51. Hey people. You know it is a RINO council. If you want your opinions heard, you need to contact them and tell them how you feel. They will never admit to reading this blog - although we know they do - LOL.

    ReplyDelete
  52. Ann Shaw is a fine attorney but I highly doubt she would be interested in the job.

    ReplyDelete
  53. I agree, Lee Clarke would be an excellent choice. He is very smart and he is not a "yes man".

    ReplyDelete
  54. Lee Clarke is a very good, and very successful lawyer. However, he is not a politician. He says what he thinks.

    ReplyDelete
  55. BOB!!!!!! Hire MJ , at least he will watch your back....unlike someone on that list

    ReplyDelete
  56. Eaton was the lawyer for the city years ago. He already had his chance.

    ReplyDelete
  57. So pleased to read this. I've been wondering when Mr. Baker would finally go home. It is time for fresh blood in the legal department. And that blonde needs to go too.

    ReplyDelete
  58. I saw save the money and let the two attorneys in the office continue consider the law departments only handles internal matters, contracts, legal reviews, etc. Insurance companies have their own legal departments. county pay for insurance let them cover law suits.

    ReplyDelete
  59. Bob if they are making over $65,000 a year that person isn't worth it.

    ReplyDelete
  60. Bob when are you getting rid of Konrad, Morris, and Strasburg?????? Joe Culver listens to you.

    ReplyDelete
  61. Wisk and Conrad are next, followed by Strasburg and Morris. We're waiting Bob!

    ReplyDelete
  62. Kalorumakis, Tyler and Kimball need to go, we can't take absenteeism and incompetence any longer.

    ReplyDelete
  63. I walking into the GOB the other day and there are 5 employees standing outside smoking? It wasn't lunch time so why aren't they working? I guess the non-smokers should be taking breaks. I was in the building 15 -20 minutes and when I came out there were two of the 5 still smoking and two more joined them.

    ReplyDelete
  64. GOB has a lot of dead weight. Smokers are both county and city employees.

    ReplyDelete
  65. Culver needs to choice one employee from every department talk with each one privately if he really wants to save money and Lear the truth about each department that a department head won't tell you or show you. They know how to hide things.

You are correct. I have always said that. But on second thought I would randomly pick a second employee to talk to.

    ReplyDelete
  67. 4:49pm Glad, too.
PS ~ but you are the blonde who needs to stay off the blogs.

    ReplyDelete
  68. The women lawyers are not locals and the cute one is cold as ice. Bob Eaton is the way to go because barrie ran him out last time.

    ReplyDelete
  69. I still think the way our justice and judicial system was implemented centuries ago was for the good. But it needs a big overhaul like alot of govt agencies do.I recently had the pleasure to attend a district court trial and boy what a joke it has really grew into.It is eating are tax dollars in drones and most are repeat offenders all tangled up in the repeating cycle of p+p and so forth.salisbury and wicomico county are done.

    ReplyDelete
  70. Well the County let him buy into the County retirement system when he was a n contractual employee. Thats right they let Good Ole ED buy time in the system. Kinda makes you sick when you think about it.

I dont get how all the other county employees were told they could not not buy back time. Rick Pollitt was a piece of dung. When one truly looks back at what he did there was not one ounce of honor in that man. Glad he is gone and Eddie needed to be gone a long time ago. Good ole boy bs at its best. AMF Ed Baker
