Breaking News: Armed Robbery @ M&T Bank Ocean Pines

There's been an armed robbery at the M&T Bank in Ocean Pines on Rt. 589.

There looking for a blue Kia Spectra with possible tag number 9BA 7999. The suspect is a short male with an accent wearing a ski mask.

UPDATE: Car has been found abandoned behind Food Lion. Suspect is on foot. K-9 and aviation en route. 

UPDATE#2: Our source was wrong on the name of the Bank. It was the BB&T Bank.

Update#3: Schools have been placed on lock down.

This is a SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT for Friday, March 13, 2015:

2:12 p.m.:  At this time, school dismissals are scheduled to occur on schedule.

1:40 p.m.: As a precautionary measure, the Worcester County Sheriff's Department has advised a lockdown at Showell Elementary School due to an active police investigation in the nearby area. Again, this is a precautionary measure. All other schools in the Northend of the county are in a Code Yellow, or Shelter in Place.
