INDIANAPOLIS (AP/WJLA) - Indiana Gov. Mike Pence defended the new state law that's garnered widespread criticism over concerns it could foster discrimination and said Sunday it wasn't a mistake to have enacted it.
Pence appeared on ABC's "This Week with George Stephanopoulos" to discuss the "Religious Freedom Restoration Act" he signed last week prohibiting state laws that "substantially burden" a person's ability to follow his or her religious beliefs. The definition of "person" includes religious institutions, businesses and associations.
Since the Republican governor signed the bill into law Thursday, Indiana has been widely criticized by businesses and organizations around the nation, as well as on social media with the hashtag #boycottindiana. Already, consumer review service Angie's List has said it will suspend a planned expansion in Indianapolis because of the new law.

ReplyDeleteVacation heck I would love to move there,Great job Indiana
ReplyDeleteIndiana will be better off without a bunch of out of town liberals visit.
ReplyDeleteThey will cave.
ReplyDeleteI'm dumping Angie's list as of today. Time for the conservatives to make their voices heard against the hard core left and the rabidly pro-homo MSM.
ReplyDeleteAgreed, They will cave as they all do and have...
ReplyDeleteUntil then, I stand with Indiana...
It is also funny to think, or mention that you have to take away rights from someone for another to have their rights... Think about that, all of you...
these gay people, and people who don't believe in god are getting their way whilst the ones who are not gay and do believe in god are losing their rights...
But you have to do this to turn a good, god loving god fearing nation upside down, which is why all of this is happening...
Thanks to all commenters.. we have some nice places to visit in Indiana.. Brookville Lake in Fayette County, Whitewater Memorial State Park in Union County, and lots of other places.
ReplyDeleteGreat people, good prices, and a very reasonable cost-of-living for those of you ready to leave the People's Republic.
Y'all are WELCOME here (even you liberals.. we aren't hateful. Just don't try to start something.. :-)
Already visiting Indianapolis in the fall...now going to add a couple of days onto our trip.

I agree. I am sick of them forcing Homo's and gay sex down our throats. Oh God! No pun intended. That was a bad choice of many words.

This is what has been happening in the South for the last 30 years or so. They are taking away the rights of Southerners just to please a few. Remember the Confederate Battle Flag? The one that was flying on all of the Capital Buildings? Now you don't see the battle flag anywhere hardly. That was a sign of their heritage and their love of the South and you all forcefully took it away from them. You allowed it to happen and the flag was harmless. Yep they caved in to the left wing liberals and offended the masses just to please a few.. Don't be whining about it now when you weren't there to stand up for their rights.
Gay is a choice not a right. WTF Libtards
