Nope, unfortunately! Nor zipping around people at high rates of speed, & a plethora of other "driving" techniques currently utilized by the masses. I used to really enjoy driving; now it's mostly avoiding near-collisions caused by aggressive self-important drivers, of whom a large percentile are either on the phone &/or drinking a large coffee. Driving is supposed to be the prime function, yet with many it seems to be the last consideration(pun intended).
I travel Rt.50 frequently, saw 3 different instances in one day of people doing a roll-through at 60 Foot Rd. intersection, yet everyone wants to say it's such a dangerous intersection. See it all the time, not just that day. "Stop" means just that! Geez!! How many people have to die for some to get the point? For the most part, if people were to slow down a bit, allow ample time to get to work without driving like an idiot, stop at the sign & look again, this intersection would not be such an issue.

I saw the same thing today at rt 50 wb going across eb rt 50 by kmart to get on bypass.

at least two vehicles slowed down to maybe 20mph before crossing rt 50 eb to get on bypass.

treated that stop sign like it was a yield sign. but I think people slow down more for a yield sign.

It's not the roads, intersections, red lights or no red lights, it's the DRIVERS.

  5. 9:29, For what it's worth, it IS a yield sign there.

It is a stop sign where I am referring, but I will confirm tomorrow and maybe send a pic.

  7. 9:42, If you are heading west from Ocean City and you want to make a left and cross Rt. 50 to the Bypass heading south, it is a yield sign.

  8. the stop sign is where you turn left off rt 50 east to cross rt 50 west and enter the ramp onto the bypass. (just past denny's) and i've seen many roll through it. i can't believe there aren't more accidents there.

Ok, I stand corrected. Joe wins again. There is indeed a YIELD sign where I was referring.

  11. For one thing people around here don't understand is you don't crossover where a double yellow line is like in front of PNC bank there or at Royal Farms on Rt12.

  12. I love how they block the lanes on RT 50 at BEAGLIN Park Drive, because they are too impatient to wait for the next light! Oh its ok I will just sit in the middle of RT 50 and hold up traffic waiting for the light at Mt Hermon road to change!
