Now Ireton and Day are begging citizens and their families to attend the state of the city address. Has any of his invitations ever included families in the past? He is begging for people attend and now he is allowing children just to fill the seats to make it look like he has a lot of support. What a joke. I guess Department Heads only doesn't look like a lot of people. Since when was the State of the City address a co-event with the city council president? He never did that with Council President Cohen.

We already know what the state of this city is, why would we want to go listen to his BS? Don't like so, I do not like liars.
ReplyDeleteI remember early in his first term when he was at the podium singing the praises of Obama in a public meeting. How's that going for you now, Jimmy?
ReplyDeleteThis is tacky beyond belief. It should read "The Mayor and City Council of Salisbury invite....."
ReplyDeleteThese people need a lesson in decorum and good taste. The State of the City address is a formal occasion not just some party.
What a couple of stooges. A mayor doesn't "invite" people to a State of the City address, the council members invite HIM and whomever they please.
ReplyDeleteEven the president doesn't just give the State of the Union Address. He is invited by the House of Representatives to speak on the state of the union.
These 2 could screw up a 2 car funeral given the chance!
I wonder if the Mayor is going to mention that Salisbury has their very own fairly active thread on the USA Sex Guide, the premier place for the Johns to recommend and rate prostitutes?
ReplyDeleteIt's mentionable since only a few municipalities within the State of MD have the "honor" of even being mentioned on the USA Sex Guide.
He'll get a good turnout, but after it's over, people will be wondering why they attended, except for those who see it as a political gathering, which it really will be.
ReplyDeleteBring ur girlfriends jim.

ReplyDeleteDog & pony show...
If any other council members show up hope Gannett Gazette files for Open Meetings request.
Point of order: since it's a school night reporters may not be allowed out after dinner until homework is finished.
bring your own vomit bag -->(Laura Mitchell)
ReplyDeleteWTF!! I have an idea, why don't you invite your elementary students. You would now be on their level.
