Could anyone tell me why Wicomico County schools are open and all surrounding areas are closed? I don't know what the conditions are in SALISBURY, but I DO know the conditions in SHARPTOWN!!!! A solid sheet of ice!! What IDIOT made the decision to put so many children's lives in jeopardy???
I posted earlier on the other article about the delay that we should all suck it up. Well...i retract that. I just came outside to warm up my car and i cant open the doors!!! They are frozen. Lol. Winter sucks
ultimately it is up to the parents whether or not to send their kids to school. There is nothing in COMAR that says you must listen to the super when he opens school and you feel it is to dangerous to be on the roads. As a parent, you still have this right.
So is Dorchester
ReplyDeleteAnd Caroline County...
ReplyDeleteWhy is there no vilification of Delmar District like Frederksen/Wicomico gets when announced closed?
ReplyDeleteDelmar's system is trusted.
ReplyDeleteWhy would Delmar Schools be closed. I live between Mardela and Delmar. Go figure.
ReplyDelete8:58, I'll tell you why. It's a sheet of black ice out here. Far worse then any snow storm.

You may have the right, but isn't it an unexcused absence?
ReplyDeleteRoads were fine from Fruitland to Salisbury this morning. Only ice on the car & trees. Sidewalks and parking lot were also fine to walk on.
ReplyDelete@ 12:38 I had a test at tPRMC this morning at 10:00. Having to park at the very end by vine street, while walking to PRMC I fell in slippery stones
