A British study released Monday suggested that the risk of psychosis was five times higher for regular users of cannabis, adding to a growing body of evidence linking drug use and mental health disorders.
The six-year study published in the medical journal The Lancet reported on 780 people living in south London, 410 of whom were being treated for conditions including schizophrenia and bipolar disorder.

So over half the subjects of this study were schizophrenic? I'm not buying their 'conclusion'

ReplyDeletePsychosis is the reason people smoke marijuana to begin with! It's an attempt to self medicate. Just look at the ones doing it and you'll understand. It's kind of like the what came first scenario, the chicken or the egg?

Which came first, the cannabis use or the psychoses?
ReplyDeleteAnd how many were attempting to self-medicate with it to lessen their already present disease symptoms?
Who paid for the study? Would it by any chance be a pharmaceutical company?
As with all drugs and chemicals, keep them out of kids' hands.
It's a proven fact.
