Rope used in execution of Saddam Hussein sparks a bidding war

The rope used to execute tyrant Saddam Hussein has sparked a bidding war - with the latest offer topping more than £4 million.

Morbid collectors are reported to be fighting to buy the gristly artefact, which is currently owned by former Iraq national security advisor Dr Mowaffak al-Rubaie.

The doctor, who led the dictator to his execution, was recently pictured in his home in Iraq with the rope as it hung around the neck of a bust of the former dictator.
