Oklahoma Moms Stage Walmart Nurse-In After Store Tells Breastfeeding Customer To Cover Up

No matter how many stories we write reminding people that every state has a law allowing nursing moms to breastfeed in public, some manager at a store will still screw things up and ask a mother to leave the store or cover up. The latest incident involves a Walmart in Oklahoma, where several woman recently staged a nurse-in to drive their point home.

  3. I agree it's the law and I'm all for it, but some Mom's could be just a little bit more discreet and then no one would even know that they are breastfeeding at the time. I know what I'm talking about, been there, done that.

  4. That is why they make breast pumps, so that you can take a bottle of your milk with you when you take your kid out in public.

  8. There is nothing cute about a mom breastfeeding in public. This is the bottom line. And, I'm tired of seeing pregnant moms wearing tight fitting club wearing clothes. Entirely too much disproportionately fat everywhere. And, I'm am so tired of seeing pictures of big and fat pregnant moms in nude pictures. Now, that's disgusting.

  9. Mothers who breastfeed in public only do so because they have a compelling need to show off and/or they think it makes them look cute. Deep down they really want people to say something to them because then they can go to the media and get even more much wanted attention.

  10. Those who complain should be forced to sign a paper accepting all responsibility. It all starts with someone going to customer service or the store manager and complaining. The offended customer needs to be held accountable for actions taken. That would eliminate 95% of this foolishness.
