ANAHEIM – Visiting the Happiest Place on Earth just got more expensive.
With record attendance at its theme parks, Disney said starting Sunday it would raise ticket prices across the board for the Disneyland Resort here and at Walt Disney World in Florida.
An adult one-day ticket to Disneyland or Disney California Adventure will rise from $96 to $99. A one-day park hopper add-on will increase from $54 to $56.
Tickets for children ages 3 to 9 will climb from $90 to $93. A price for a Premium annual pass with parking and no blackout dates will go up 11 percent, from $699 to $779.
Some parkgoers were frustrated, even outraged, at the news, taking to social media to sound off.

ReplyDeleteNot really a ripoff when you compare Disney with other activities and venues that are designed for entertainment. For example pro sports and music concerts.

ReplyDeleteCompare it to a Celine Dion show in Las Vegas - $250 (avg.), or a washed-up 80's band revival concert - around $175.00.
What one receives for that near-100 bucks is pretty amazing.

We just go to the farmens carnival fo free and tell the the kids it's hillbilly disney. BTW, why complain about the price if you aren't going anyway?
ReplyDeleteThe Obama administration will create a "subsidy" for the 48% of Americans that don't pay taxes, so that it becomes an entitlement for everyone except taxpayers. They are way overpriced attractions. And I know. Went the with my kids a few years backs. It is not worth the cost.
ReplyDelete100 dollars for an overcrowded, ugly, noisy park. Not to mention that unless you pay another 100 each for the "cut in line" pass you watch them and every other idiot who brought an old pair of crutches get in front of you. Busch Gardens used to be great until InBev bought Busch. Landscaping went downhill, prices up, cut passes sold and muppet babies s$&@ plastered on everything. Don't go to any of them anymore, real shame.
