“AFSCME members believe that Michael Allred’s social media comments were inappropriate and insulting to 7,200 Maryland correctional officers. We believe Secretary Moyer has taken the right course of action in terminating his employment with the department.”

What a stupid things to get fired for. Someone needs to get a sense of humor. Everyone knew it was a joke. I guess prison guards get their little feelings hurt when you make a joke
Get groped, poked and X-rayed everywhere you go and if you comment on it you're insulting them! I had to watch a fat lazy TSA agent at BWI stare at my wife's ass as she walked into the radiation box, then lean way back to sneak a peek at the monitor while she was in there. That was after he gave me a bunch of shit for opting out. I know a prison is a little different but I'm about sick of being treated like livestock then expected to smile at the pigs that are doing it and ask, "May I have one more finger?" If this is how sensitive the guards are after an innocent comment like that imagine what they do to a prisoner who mouths off!
Did he have to get patted down by the guards going in? Wouldn't that be protocol? So why is that joke so uncommon that he can no longer work in his profession?
REALLY?
i WOULD THINK THAT JOKE IS ALMOST AS COMMON AS HEY, YOUR SHOE'S UNTIED, HA, MADE YOU LOOK.
Interesting how the guy posts congrats on his FB page and then his buddy fires him. He felt to comfortable at that job. That's got to suck big time!!
Michael Allred February 13 at 2:18pm · Congratulations to Steve Moyer and the other department heads on their final Senate confirmation vote today! Life is good!
Before joining the Sarasota force in 2013, Moyer was security director for the University of Maryland Medical Center in Baltimore managing a security detail that protected 6,000 hospital employees and 18,000 weekly visitors and patients.
“Our loss is the state of Maryland’s gain,” Sarasota Police Chief Bernadette DiPino said. “This is a prestigious appointment and honor for him.”
Jeff Pittman is not answering his phone but I relayed my disappointment through voicemail and I recommend everyone do the same. Wouldn't he be thrilled to come in Monday to a few hundred messages.
He was terminated for that? WTF you can't make a joke anymore.. f'in ridiculous.
ReplyDeleteGet a friggin sense of humor.
Jeeezzzz...grow up and get a sense of humor. If it'd been an RNC convention, he'd be the wittiest person in the libverse.
