Traffic Stop near Milton Nets Large Amount of Heroin
Milton – The Delaware State Police have arrested a New Jersey man for possessing a large amount of heroin after he was stopped for speeding.
The incident occurred Tuesday January 20, 2015 around 2:20 p.m. as troopers were conducting speed enforcement as part of a traffic initiative in the area of Coastal Highway (SR1) and Beach Highway (SR16) east of Milton. A blue Nissan Altima was observed traveling southbound on SR1 above the posted speed limit and a traffic stop was conducted on the vehicle just south of SR16. Upon making contact with the operator, identified asDavon Tucker, 32 of Paterson, NJ, and a 29 year old female passenger, the trooper detected an odor of marijuana emanating from the vehicle. When the trooper inquired into the marijuana, Tucker produced a plastic bag containing approximately 2.8 grams of the substance from the center console and turned it over to the investigating trooper.
Both occupants were then instructed to exit the vehicle while a search was conducted of the car. Troopers soon located a blue plastic bag containing clear freezer bags stamped "Troy 100" inside the trunk. Smaller wax-paper bags were bundled together inside the freezer bags which was determined to be heroin. A total of 14,994 bags with a weight of 224.91 grams were seized during the stop. The street value packaged for distribution is estimated at approximately $150,000.00.
Davon Tucker was taken into custody and transported back to Troop 4 in Georgetown where he was formally charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance in a Tier 5 Quantity (Heroin), Possession with Intent to Deliver Heroin, Possession of Marijuana with an Aggravated Factor, two counts of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Driving While Suspended or Revoked, and Speeding. He was arraigned at JP2 and committed to Sussex Correctional Institution on $122,601.00 cash bail.
The female was not charged in this case and was released.
Another example of a well schooled idiot. You can bet if I had cargo like that my butt would not exceed the speed limit
ReplyDeleteYet more heroin in Delaware but what I said about the CIA smuggling it in through Dover Air Force base has to be incorrect.
ReplyDeleteRight?
Make this poison dealer eat all of his own product and then allow him to only walk for help. Nothing but an animal that needs to terminated.
ReplyDeleteIn Maryland it would've been a ticket only and no search. Pot is decriminalized.
ReplyDeleteI think if your caught with heroin either to sell or do..you should just be shot in the head right then and there
ReplyDeleteSmart kid, huh? Speeding down Rt 1 while smoking pot with 150K in heroin in the trunk. He should be put away for stupidity if nothing else.
