Out Of Sight, Out Of Mind

I think it is awesome that some people are investing into the Downtown Plaza. However, a stroll on Thursday unfortunately revealed that the Plaza was more like a California Ghost Town.

  1. On the back of downtown (library side) is one of the best kept secrets for unique and reasonably priced gifts and access to fabulous local art. For those who don't know...Art Institute & Gallery is a great place to shop. So is Chesapeake East.

Good plug for yourself. I don't know if you realize it or not but the majority of people around here don't give a crap about "fabulous local art." Quit trying to ram that gay lifestyle down our throats.

  4. Been saying it for year but they just keep pouring more and more money into that place. What does it take for Salisbury to understand that it is DEAD.

  5. I'm afraid 1:27 is correct though I believe people don't care because they can't afford much more "art" then they can purchase at Walmart.
The lack of good paying jobs is the number one problem each and every elected officials needs to concern themselves with. Everything and anything else is just "feel good" measures done to make it look like they are actually accomplishing something.

  8. They need some tapest restaurants, coffee and ice cream shops and bar with band if you want people downtown on the plaza. Close off to traffic and allow outdoor seating from restaurants and shops with extra benches. Control homeless and keep bike cop around, do away with meters and replace with two hour free parking, you could get people downtown. 3rd Friday is working.

  11. 2:52 a so called non profit, united needs and abilities, for some reason thought it a bright idea to invest in that so called "artist" community.

I am not sure how the disabled qualify to being an artist.

Wonder how that "investment" is working out for them...
