Newtown votes to raze home of gunman in school massacre
NEWTOWN, Conn. (AP) — Officials in Newtown voted Wednesday night to tear down the home where Adam Lanza lived before he carried out the 2012 massacre at Sandy Hook Elementary School.
The vote by the Newtown Legislative Council approved a proposal by the board of selectmen to raze the 3,100-square-foot home and keep the land as open space.
First Selectwoman Pat Llodra said she expects the Lanza house will be razed once winter is over. The 2-acre property was given to the town in December by a bank that acquired it from the Lanza family.
Couldn't think of a better public use for it, I guess. Next will be to tear down the high school he attended, the church his family attended and the McDonalds where he ate.
really? do we burn the white house down since that murderer (and others) are disliked? what about a DUI subject? a rapist? a jaywalker? are we just going to burn down the houses of every sinner ever?

use it. make it into something good. dont be wasteful. but i guess that goes against a liberals very being.
Why this and not the school? Sure the monster lived here but the crime was at the school. A place were people have to go every day. This is a place that people might drive by every once in a while. I just don't see the logic in this.
and 'sandy hook' was indeed all a hoax by the us govt to scare people into pushing for stricter gun laws...which in turn, only ended up harming the innocent law abiding gun owners.
