I was watching WBOC last night when a piece came up that had us cracking up. They actually sent a reporter all the way to Crisfield, (they must really be desperate) to show people there's a sign on the front door of the Police Department saying if you enter they have the right to search you.
They interviewed someone, (perhaps the Police Chief) and he compared Crisfield to the two Officers shot in New York City recently and they were going to protect themselves.
Well Chiefy, the Officers in NYC were actually on the job, on the street, working. Not sitting inside eating donuts and watching cable. Come on man, seriously? Do they really think someone is going to walk into a Police Department and just open fire in Crisfield?
Perhaps WBOC could conserve the gas and drive time sending people down there and actually do some investigative work on Labinol instead. You know, REAL news. The kind of news people are really interested in and not some 15 seconds of manufactured fame in Crisfield.
Actually it is not that far fetched. But the sad part is, by the time the rookie comes out to pat you down, he will have already been shot.
ReplyDeleteThe sign is not going to help stop anything.
It's like that sign on the plaza that says no smoking within 20? feet of this building, but you are only 2' away by the time you see the sign. I didn't put by butt out, I just laughed and smoked.
Doesn't the chief know that no one can carry a gun in Maryland except the police? If you are a criminal carrying an illegal gun I highly doubt that you would just walk into a police station. If you did than you would surly use it before you could be searched.
ReplyDeleteOnce there in its too late.
ReplyDeleteHOW COME THE FAT PT BLUBBER BLOGGER HASN'T COMPLAINED ABOUT NO CRIP HANDICAP RAMP ON THE TRAILER ? Or do they use him to pull the trailer around crisfield, with his WC LOL.Vaaaaaaaaaaaroooooom.
ReplyDeleteReminds me of the time the Accomac VA post office closed early in response to the 9/11 attacks.
ReplyDeleteI wouldn't sleep on Crisfield. It has a long tumultuous history of racial relations.
ReplyDeleteIs the scenario likely? No. Is it impossible? Definitely not.
