Santa Claus was disinvited from making his traditional appearance Dec. 12 at the Winter Concert of the Andrew Peabody School in Cambridge, Massachusetts, because of the opposition of at least one parent, CBS News in Boston reported.
Jennifer Ford, the school's principal, informed parents a day before the concert that Santa had been nixed.
"I am writing to you today to inform you of a change in our concert series this winter. Our First through Fourth grade concert as well as our kindergarten concert will not include a visit from Santa Claus this year," CBS affiliate WBZ TV reported.

For years I have said the country is run and dictated to by extremists. One doesn't have to go far to support that claim.
ReplyDeleteYou are correct, and it was proven this morning when the film that North Korea thought was offensive - NORTH KOREA! - has been cancelled.

ReplyDeleteAny complaint from a minority of 1 is the rule of the land! The person with the complaint should have been 'disinvited', Santa is not part of any religion and if this person/persons are against fictional characters then keep themselves and their children away from schools, libraries, comics, cartoons, etc. This principal is a cowardly socialist!
