BREAKING NEWS: Four Wicomico Schools Placed on Code Orange (Safe in Place) as Precaution

Due to reported bank robberies, several Wicomico schools have operated on precautionary Code Orange (safe in place) status this morning, with instruction continuing. Pinehurst Elementary and Pemberton Elementary have now returned to normal operations, after being on Code Orange for about an hour and a half on advice of law enforcement investigating a bank robbery in Salisbury. A later report of a bank robbery in Sharptown has led to Northwestern Elementary and Mardela Middle and High being on Code Orange (safe in place) status, awaiting further guidance from law enforcement.

    1. Because dumb dumb.... code orange means not to go outside and NO ONE is allowed in or out.....you know just in case the bad guy tries to get into the school to hide....or if kids were out for recess... you know they don't get caught in any action..... BTW these are the schools that are closest to the banks

  4. I think they could safely post armed police in all banks until Christmas and catch a few of these idiots.

In case you haven't noticed - there 'ain't no jobs'. The only jobs in and around Sby & Wicomico are drugs, thief, bank robbery, etc.

Schools are placed in lockdown as a precautionary move for a multitude of reasons, but try to imagine a playground full of kids and the bad guys (who are attempting to evade police) fire rounds....would you want your child on a playground if and when that happens? Would you want ANY child around when that happens? There is no reason why this precaution should not be taken and they are much safer in a school. This is a responsible step to take for these sorts of situations and one that should garner the community support. Please think before you comment.

  7. 12:27-Or attending one.Stats indicating the average education level of bank robbers suggest that they place little emphasis on formal education. As punishment they should be forced to complete high school.

  8. If a real cop was parked in front of northwestern elm instead of a SUV taking pictures he might have been caught!

    1. No I haven't. Never even an accident. Besides the fact the thing sticks out like a sore thumb parked on the side of the road. I live right there. Wanna know I've never seen it checked for calibration but twice! Instead of a school resource officer sitting on his arse most of the day in Mardela, let his disgrace to the sheriffs office butt sit in a patrol car all day and actually work. If he has to respond to the school he can be there in what, an extra minute?
