(Salisbury, MD) The Wicomico County Health Department has released the agency’s fiscal year 2014 Annual Report. The report highlights efforts to improve five priority areas identified through Community Health Surveys that are completed every five years. The areas identified for 2010 – 2015 are: Behavioral Health, Obesity, Asthma, Diabetes and Sexually Transmitted Infections. The annual report acts as a summary of events, data and initiatives to address many of these issues and highlights key health department services.
“Many innovative programs are coming to fruition to help address the health of the community,” says Lori Brewster, Wicomico County Health Officer. “We are looking forward to examining the data from the Community Health Survey completed during FY 2014 to determine our direction for 2015 – 2020.”
