    As long as this is optional (and now administrative - not judicial/criminal carrying not additional penalties like insurance points) and you can still request a court date, I would be OK with it.

    The next time I see a cop speeding I'm going to plug in my Square card reader and ask him how he'd like to pay his 100 dollar fine... Visa, Mastercard, Discover?

    I have a card reader. How am I to know the cop is using the municipal reader or his own?
