  1. Station 2 is dispatched for an Automatic Fire Alarm activation at K&L Microwave. Truck 74 responds with 74-19. Truck 74 you say? That is Delmar Fire Department responding to calls in Salisbury? Why is that you say? Because certain members of the Salisbury Fire Department decided to have a special $15,000 banquet at the Fountains.

  2. Station 2 failed to get out for two calls this afternoon and the duty crew from 16 had to handle their calls. Whats up over there ? Whats the dinner for ?

  3. Engine 801 is just leaving the Station 1 for the standby while the boys were at the big party at the Fountains.

  4. Newsworthy Joe^^^^ Should be a story on it's own or at least a comment worthy of a post.

  5. Just know that the dinner was for the volunteers. That is tax dollars being spent to have a good night.

  6. Every single department in the county has a banquet every year. It's a show of appreciation to the volunteers and for Salisbury the paid staff as well for their continued service throughout the year.

  7. The paid firemen were not invited. This was an all volunteer bash as they've always wanted. Great that we can gather that many people for a feed but cant get 3 people to get a piece of equipment out to most alarms. The volunteers in Salisbury are a joke. Everything is handed to them and they don't have to work for anything. All the other county fire departments have to hold bingos, carnivals and gun bashes to survive.
