Pharrell Williams, one of the biggest black figures in the music industry, has spoken out about the shooting of 18-year-old Michael Brown, saying he is 'troubled' a grand jury decided not to indict the white police officer responsible.
But the 'Happy' singer also sparked heated debate by calling Brown's behavior leading up to his August 9 death 'bully-ish'.
Before he was shot dead, Brown was caught on surveillance camera stealing a handful of cigarillos from a convenience store in Ferguson, Missouri, and intimidating the shop owner.
While Pharrell says that was no excuse for Officer Darren Wilson to use lethal force against the unarmed teen, he thinks Brown's actions are being overlooking in the national discussion about the tragedy.
'It looked very bully-ish; that in itself I had a problem with,' Pharrell told Ebony magazine. 'Not with the kid, but with whatever happened in his life for him to arrive at a place where that behavior is OK. Why aren't we talking about that?'

Brown was a terrorist. In the same league as Osama Bin Laden and we should be celebrating his elimination from society as we did Bin Laden's.
ReplyDeleteLook at the pictures in the link provided. Pictures show how he not only stole from but attacked the shopkeeper. Terrorists like Brown are the reason African American neighborhoods are in such decline and resemble war zones. Brown's death should be remember for one thing and one thing only and that is his contribution to the decline of Ferguson.
One thing not mentioned in the media but I found while reading the online court documents is that Brown had been in another altercation in the store at 1am of the day he was shot. LE only learned of this days after the shooting. By then the shopkeeper was reluctant to turn over that video because of the threats and volatility going on in the neighborhood and they had to get a warrant for it.
It's very easy to understand why Brown turned out to be the criminal that he was when you look at the parents. The mother on national TV after many had seen the store robbery, said Brown would never be an aggressor. Brown turned out the way he did because of her immoral and lying sinful ways and she has no business crying over his death because she caused it.
ReplyDeleteShe needs to get over it and if she has other children she needs to stop her sinning vile ways especially the lying, otherwise she just needs to get used to them dying.
Blacks ignore and overlook violence and crime by other blacks because of the peer pressure and fear of being ostracized from their community.
ReplyDeleteTo put it simply, they are too weak to do what is right.
What was really amusing was the show the mother and the ex con step father put on.
ReplyDeleteThey were told the decision prior to it being made public.
But they chose to pretend (lying as usual) like they were hearing it for the first time on a podium somewhere public the same time the rest of us heard it. This is where the step father does the "burn this bitch down" performance.
These people are as trashy as anyone can get and yes, they need look no further than the mirror to see why Brown got his brains blow out, but in typical ghetto fashion they refuse to take any personal responsibility for anything.

What was funny was the sun glasses she was wearing when it was so dark outside. Then she was suppose to speak, but she was to stupid to even come up with anything to say.
