You have to love all the "Catch Phrases" all of the Liberal politicians are delivering to the voters in this election.
What saddens me is just how naive the voters are. They listen to Rick Pollitt telling you for the past 9 years, it's about building bridges. OK Rick, WHAT BRIDGES?
We have witnessed massive foreclosures. We are seeing thousands of for sale and for rent signs everywhere you turn in the county. The jobless rate has skyrocketed and yet the Liberals sitting around abusing the affordable housing and public assistance couldn't care less because they have a roof over their head. They are also running for public office.
I've watched Jim Mathias tell people his biggest accomplishment is building coalitions in Annapolis. REALLY JIM, that's it? Do you really think YOU have ANY influence for the Eastern Shore, or have people conveniently forgotten that the Eastern Shore has the LEAST amount of representatives in the House and Senate, proving we have ZERO influence.
Sure, our representatives can scream at the top of their lungs about a five cent per chicken tax but isn't it hilarious how a VISITING Mayor from Delmar, (Carl Anderton) can actually take the time to sit with the Montgomery County representative who proposed the Bill to remove his request AND CARL ISN'T EVEN IN THE LEGISLATURE, YET.
So please Ladies & Gentlemen, tell me where those Bridges are going? It's time for a massive change in our representatives here on the Shore. Ignore the catch phrases and act like you've got some common sense any more.
ARE THINGS BETTER TODAY THEN THEY WERE 4 OR 8 YEARS AGO.
Neurotics build bridges to nowhere, while psychotics drive over them.
ReplyDeleteOne of your very best posts ever, Joe. I'm so tired of hearing Building Bridges from Pollitt. He had yet another Visioning Committee after working more than a year determined and advise Wicomico needs economic development. WOW, surprise, surprise.
ReplyDeleteNo. We are personally in much worse shape with our property taxes much higher. I hope this ends soon...as soon as Tuesday. Vote Bob Culver.
ReplyDeleteHELL NO they are not better. I'm sick of all the liberal BS.
ReplyDeleteBuilding bridges?! Hell, they can't even build a 1/4 road from the dump to Levin Deshield rd!!
ReplyDelete9:51 - Remember, after that 1/4 mile, it's supposed to go another 1/4 mile to Crooked Oak....
ReplyDeleteI've been watching that stagnant project for quite a while now. Looks like it went gangbusters for a while and then faded away.
Did Stevie quit supervising the project in her district when she decided to convert to RINOism and subsequently announce her retirement? Timing looks that way.
Did the OweMalley raiding of the transportation fund finally have a real impact on Wicomico County? Hopefully, Tuesday's vote on the Maryland constitutional amendment will prevent that from happening again!
"Liberals sitting around abusing the affordable housing and public assistance couldn't care less"
ReplyDeleteAs soon as I read that quote Laura Mitchell and Josh Hastings came to mind.
Vote Republican
Lee Beauchamp us too busy playing politics to do his job.
ReplyDeleteOh, I was by there the other day. It looks like, Pollitt is wanting to have yet another RIBBON CUTTING before election day. That's about all he has had in his campaign. But this writter isn't impressed.
ReplyDeleteDamn and here I thought I was alone in this. If I'm not mistaken all these little sayings such as bridge building where first used in bill Clinton's first campaign for his first presidency. One of my favorites is the good ole use of the word coalition . a word that first appeared in the public eyes during desert storm under George bush's term in office. The term was used to describe forces on the ground. These forces coming from multiple countries came to be know as the coalition .then of coarse the democrats led by bill Clinton took over the term and started using it . it seemed like every time you had more then one democrats in a room it was proclaimed a coalition .
ReplyDeleteLet's not forget the infamous fist pound. Once used in the early years of this great country by democrats and republicans alike it seen a comeback in the early 90s. Bob Dole if I'm not mistaken should have credit for this one. You see Bob had partial paralyses in one hand . he was known to hold a pen in his hand during speeches. That was changed early on in his run for office . the pen was removed to make way for the comeback of the fist pound making sure the fist was held tightly and the thumb pointing slightly upward. This was done in this manner so it did not look as though he was using the infamous sign of black power. Which is close in its appearance only to have the thumb in a slightly different position . with the reemergence of the fist pound republicans and democrats still use it to this day.
Sorry the post was so long. this is a subject I find a lot of humor in. Watching people try to change peoples prospective of who they are by simple little antics, phrases, and jesters can be quite laughable. One only has to look at Hillery Clinton to see these antics used on a daily basis .
Yes Strausberg, beauchamp, pollitt are all peas in a pod. Bridges aren't being built, they are collapsing. I think at least one or two of them realize it too
ReplyDeleteHe cannot even fix the roads
